About
Paul Buchsteiner is a Salzburg-based composer and songwriter. After completing his degree in Multimedia Art at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences in 2025 — which included a semester abroad studying Music Production at the Dundalk Institute of Technology — he went on to study film music at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg.
In addition to his work as a composer for media, he is an instrumentalist and singer in the indie rock band Super Video Market Klub and performs as a solo artist.

Im Schatten der Verwandlung
Im Schatten der Verwandlung is a 30-minute film adaptation of Franz Kafka’s Die Verwandlung, told from the perspective of Grete Samsa. When her brother Gregor suddenly transforms into an insect, Grete becomes the only family member willing to care for him. But as the burden of responsibility grows heavier, her compassion is tested, and the fragile bonds within the Samsa household begin to unravel.

Paul Buchsteiner and Saskia Kleemann work in both film music composition and indie songwriting. Their latest project, Demian, brings these two facets together in an audiovisual live performance. Inbetween Album
Inbetween is the debut album by Super Video Market Klub, consisting of Paul Buchsteiner, Saskia Kleemann and Matthias Resch. Emerging from their studies in multimedia art in Salzburg, the trio blends classical, ambient and indie rock influences to create a sonic journey that ranges from intimate singer-songwriter sounds to experimental collages, exploring themes of doubt, longing and self-reflection.
